Goa Government Declares Paid Holiday on 11 March 2026 for Panaji Municipal Elections

The Government of Goa, vide notification dated 25 February 2026, has declared Wednesday, 11 March 2026, as a paid holiday in view of the general elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji. The objective of the declaration is to enable eligible voters to exercise their franchise without any loss of wages. The holiday will be applicable to all employees working in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or other establishment in the State of Goa who are entitled to vote in the said elections. Employers are required to grant this day as a paid holiday, ensuring that employees can participate in the electoral process without any deduction of wages.
