Gujarat Factory Licence Fee Update: Existing Licence Holders Should Review Differential Payment Before 31 October 2026

Published: Oct 13, 2026Effective: Oct 13, 2026

The Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Gujarat, has issued a circular concerning factory licence fees under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 and applicable rules.

From 2026 onwards, fees for new factory licences, renewals and amendments are to be paid under this framework. Factories holding licences valid beyond 2025, for which fees were paid under the earlier Factories Act, 1948 and Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963, are required to pay the applicable differential licence fee.

The differential fee must be paid by 31 October 2026. Payment after the deadline attracts an additional fee of 25%. Payment of the differential fee does not alter the existing licence validity period.

Payment can be made through the Gujarat DISH portal by selecting PUBLIC USER LOGIN → FEE DIFFERENCE.

Factory occupiers and compliance teams should review their licence validity and previous payments, verify the differential amount payable, and complete payment within the prescribed deadline.
