Puducherry Election 2026: Paid Holiday Notification for Employees on Poll Day (09 April)

The Labour Department, Government of Puducherry, has declared a paid holiday on 09 April 2026 for all employees on account of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly elections. This direction is issued under Section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, mandating that every employee must be given sufficient opportunity to cast their vote.
