The Code on Social Security, 2020
Overview
The Social Security Code extends social security benefits to gig workers and platform workers for the first time. It aligns wage definitions with the Code on Wages, introduces pro-rata gratuity for fixed-term employees after 1 year of service, and establishes a universal social security fund for unorganized workers.
