Leave & Working Hours in Tripura
- Sick leave
14 days. Paid at half wages. Up to 112 days may be accumulated.
Carry forward is capped by the 112-day accumulation limit.
- Casual leave
1 day once 1 month of continuous service is complete; and 12 days. Paid at full wages.
Carry forward is not applicable.
- Earned / privilege leave
5 days once 4 months of continuous service are complete; and 15 days once 12 months of continuous service are complete. Up to 56 days may be accumulated.
Carry forward is capped by the 56-day accumulation limit.
- Normal working hours
8.5 hours a day and 48 hours a week.
- Rest interval
At least a 60-minute break after 6 hours of work.
- Maximum overtime
Capped at 1.5 hours a day, 120 hours a year.
- Spread-over
10.5 hours a day, start to finish.
- Overtime wage rate
Twice the ordinary wage rate.
- Ordinary Rate of Wages
